This page explains the terms that govern your use of this website, how we handle your information, and our cancellation and refund practices. It applies to everyone who visits this site or engages Chai & Her's coaching services. By using the site or booking a Chai Call, you accept these terms. You must be at least 18 years old to use this site or engage our services.
1. Who we are and what we offer. Chai & Her provides life and career coaching for women physicians through three programs: Private Chai (1:1 coaching), Chai & Her Circle (group coaching), and Chai & Her Complete (both combined). Each client's engagement is governed by a separate signed Coaching Services Agreement, which controls for that engagement. This page governs general use of the website.
2. Using the site. You agree to use this site lawfully and for your own personal, non-commercial use. Your use of the site is at your own risk. We work to keep the site accurate and available but do not promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
3. Changes to these terms. We may update this page from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
4. Intellectual property. All content on this site — including text, the Chai & Her name, and the CHAI Method framework — is owned by Chai & Her unless stated otherwise. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or create derivative materials from it without written permission.
5. Testimonials and submissions. If you share a testimonial, review, or feedback with us, you keep ownership of it, but you give Chai & Her permission to use, display, and adapt it to promote our services. Testimonials describe individual experiences — results vary, and we don't guarantee that any client will achieve the same or similar outcomes.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability. This site and its content are provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, Chai & Her is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our coaching services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the program giving rise to the claim. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises. [Kansas's default limitations period for a written contract claim is five years (K.S.A. 60-511), and Kansas courts have upheld contracts that shorten that period as long as the shortened period is reasonable (see Pfeifer v. Federal Express Corp., 297 Kan. 547 (2013)) — but the Kansas Consumer Protection Act (K.S.A. 50-623 et seq.) separately restricts unconscionable terms in consumer contracts, so a Kansas-licensed attorney should confirm this one-year period and the rest of this liability section will hold up before you rely on them.]
7. Indemnification. You agree to hold Chai & Her harmless from claims, losses, or costs — including reasonable attorney's fees — arising from your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third party's rights.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution. These terms, and any dispute arising from your use of this site or your engagement with Chai & Her, are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at zarmina@chaiandher.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally. If that doesn't resolve things within 30 days, any remaining contract-based dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration under the Kansas Uniform Arbitration Act (K.S.A. 5-401 et seq.), seated in [County], Kansas. [Kansas law carves certain claims — including claims sounding in tort — out of mandatory arbitration under this particular statute, so this clause may not cover every type of dispute. A Kansas-licensed attorney should confirm the scope, enforceability, and county before you rely on this clause.]
9. Electronic signatures. Your signed Coaching Services Agreement may be executed electronically. Under the Kansas Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (K.S.A. 16-1601 et seq.), an electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten one, and neither party may deny the agreement is enforceable solely because it was signed electronically.
10. General. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, together with your signed Coaching Agreement, are the entire agreement between you and Chai & Her for the services they cover.
1. Information we collect. We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email, phone number, and anything you share through a contact, intake, or Chai Call request form. We also collect basic usage information automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.
2. How we use your information. We use your information to respond to your inquiry, schedule and deliver coaching sessions, process payments, and send updates you've agreed to receive.
3. Cookies and analytics. This site may use cookies or analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how it's used and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings. [Confirm which analytics or advertising tools you actually use once your site is live, and update this section to match.]
4. How we share your information. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help operate this business, solely to deliver our services. Current service providers may include:
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
5. Data retention. We keep your information only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, or as long as the law requires. [Add specifics once you've decided how long you'll keep client records after an engagement ends.]
6. Your rights and choices. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time, by emailing zarmina@chaiandher.com. Residents of states with their own privacy laws (such as California) may have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect.
7. Security and breach notification. We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a security breach compromises unencrypted personal information, we will investigate promptly and, consistent with the Kansas security breach notification law (K.S.A. 50-7a01 et seq.), notify affected Kansas residents without unreasonable delay.
8. Children. This site and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your specific program's cancellation and refund terms are governed by your signed Coaching Services Agreement; the summary below is for convenience only.
Chai & Her provides life and career coaching. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, psychotherapy, medical care, or the practice of medicine, and it is not a substitute for any of these.
Although Zarmina Ehsan holds a license to practice medicine, she is acting solely in the capacity of your coach during Chai & Her sessions — not as your treating physician — and no physician-patient relationship is created through this website or through coaching. Nothing shared in a session should be treated as a medical diagnosis, treatment plan, or professional medical opinion, regardless of her medical background.
Coaching sessions are collaborative and client-led. You are responsible for the decisions you make during and after coaching. Nothing on this website or discussed in a session should be considered medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
